Listen up, Sephora devotees, because the beauty retailer has a very, very important update for you. Starting October 14 (ahem: right now), you'll have the option of same-day delivery. This means that, yes, you'll be able to get fragrances plus hair, skin-care, and makeup products placed on your doorstep in mere hours with just a few clicks.
Here's how it works: If you're shopping on Sephora's website, you'll see the option to select same-day delivery on individual product pages — all you'll need to do is hit that button, enter your zip code, and add it to your cart from there. You can do the same through the Sephora mobile app. Getting same-day delivery for a product will cost a flat fee of $6.95 (plus the cost of the products themselves, of course). Once you've checked out, a courier will be dispatched to a nearby brick-and-mortar Sephora location to retrieve your item and bring it directly to you.
According to a press release from the retailer, this service is available in most major cities and suburbs and can be accessed seven days a week. The main catch is that you have to order your items before 4 p.m. local time, otherwise, your items will be delivered the following day.
Alongside the introduction of same-day delivery, Sephora has revived its Home Chat function, which is now known as Live Beauty Help. Now available on both sephora.com and the Sephora mobile app, Live Beauty Help connects you with the retailer's Beauty Advisors, who can help with product selection and application.
With the hectic holiday season approaching quicker than Sha'Carri Richardson in a 100-meter dash, Sephora couldn't have picked a more perfect time to offer same-day delivery. Missing a key piece of your Halloween makeup? Same-day delivery. Forgot a Christmas present for a beauty-loving friend? Same-day delivery. Big New Year's Eve plans and you shattered your favorite highlighter? Same-day delivery. Never again will we have another beauty emergency. Phew.
To access same-day delivery, visit sephora.com or download the Sephora app on iOs or Google Play.
